Ashley Callie was a South African actress best known for her role as Lee Haines in the SABC 3 soapie, Isidingo. Her performance in Isidingo recently won Ashley the Best Actress award at the South African Film and Television Awards.
At about 22:30 on Friday 8 February 2008, Ashley was involved in a serious car accident. On Friday 15 February - one week after the crash - Callie died in hospital from the head injuries she sustained in the accident. She is survived by her parents, her sister and brother.
Our prayers and thoughts are with your family at this time. Ashley, you will always stay in our hearts, we miss you dearly. Thank you for bringing Lee to all of us. Our gift to you will be lifelong memories of someone so special.

My thoughts and prayers are with the ones that are left behind to face the pain, but know that God called her to be by his side, she is safe now and although it is hard to comprehend, so many questions you may have, Ashely will always be your Angel - she will always be with you..and altough so many of us never knew her personally - she lit up our homes with her beautiful smile every night - be honoured and proud she was chosen to be in your life as she was magnificent! xxx

My heartfelt sympathies goes out to the Callie family. The unbearable pain and sorrow you feel from loosing a precious loved one is all too familiar to me. Lauren, I lost my only sister in June last year, I know the feeling of helplessness as you stand at your loved ones bedside, just praying for a miracle.
I've been told that they never leave our side and that they are now our PRECIOUS GUARDIAN ANGEL take comfort in this and always cherish the memories you have of her, thereby keeping her spirit alive.
